BehaviourWorks leads the Australian chapter of the Survey of COVID-19 Responses to Understand Behaviour (SCRUB) study, a real-time survey tracking how groups of people all over the world are responding to health messages – and changing their behaviour - in response to the pandemic.
The SCRUB project aims to provide current and future policymakers with actionable insights into public attitudes and behaviours relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. The project involves more than 120 international collaborators and more than 20,000 surveys have been completed in 40 countries so far.
The Australian SCRUB team is funded by the Victorian State Government. The team is led by BWA Research Fellow Alexander ‘Zan’ Saeri, alongside Peter Slattery and Emily Grundy and Michael Noetel from the Australian Catholic University.
SCRUB questions are constantly updated, the data is open, and the results are rapidly shared in an interactive online dashboard. After each wave of data collection, the Australian team generates and disseminates an updated report to relevant policy actors. Several waves – with supporting discussions – are captured on this page. More details coming soon.
