Research Officer
Alex's passion lies in the intersection of health, behavioural economics and implantation which guides her work as part of MSDI's Evidence Review Service to conduct impactful reviews that span environmental, health and social systems domains.
Alex is a member of the MSDI Evidence Review Service (ERS), which gathers best-available knowledge from research and practice to enable leaders in governments and industry to take informed action on pressing challenges.
Alex is in her final year of her PhD at Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI) as a Behaviour Change GRIP PhD student partnering with Safer Care Victoria. Her research explores what helps and hinders the health system to support clinicians and patients to share decisions, through behaviour change and implementation science. Alex hopes her research can add to the field of shared decision making by utilising multiple parts of the healthcare system to support clinicians and patients through behaviour change.
Alex holds a BSc in Psychology and Exercise Science from Washington State University and a Master of Public Health (majoring in Health Economics) from the University of Melbourne. She is fascinated by developing behavioural interventions and using policy and programs to achieve health outcomes in the public sphere.
